I’ve always loved a good story. As a child, I would interview family and friends with my Fisher Price cassette recorder, pretending to have my own radio news program. Years later, among other broadcasting stints, I did have my own show. After completing a B.A. in Communications, I worked in news management for several years before making the move to public relations, where I assisted local nonprofits with their marketing and communications efforts.
In the early 2000’s, I was bitten by the health and wellness bug, discovering a love for running, and a passion for healthy living. I collaborated with the nation’s leading health plans to engage senior citizens, helping them take charge of their health through the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, and organizing a fly-in to the Washington, D.C. in support of Medicare. Later, my efforts to improve healthcare for Louisiana’s Medicaid recipients earned me a Living the Culture award, and an innovation award for the Eat4Health 4H partnership. I served as Director of Communications, Marketing and Enrollee Services for a Louisiana health plan where I led strategic efforts to improve the health of my home state. I am currently leading national community center strategy for a Fortune 100 healthcare organization.
In addition, in 2013 I launched Grayson Communications, LLC, and have been fortunate to work with several wonderful clients, creating engaging marketing and communications campaigns to grow their businesses. I have a passion for the outdoors, and in my few-and-far-between spare moments enjoy trail running, mountain biking and road cycling. I am currently pursuing certification as Louisiana Master Naturalist.

How I can help
Marketing Communications is about more than just writing press releases and setting up snazzy events for publicity. It’s about forging and maintaining key relationships, and sharing your company’s key differentiators. What sets you apart? Why should the consumer trust you? I believe every businesses has a unique story to be told, and if you’re not telling it yourself, you run the risk of having someone else (likely a disgruntled customer) tell it for you.
I specialize in helping businesses tell their unique stories in order to engage customers. We all have a story. Who’s telling yours?
